Test running the Merc after sitting for 10 years. motor was seized when i got it so I freed her up with Marvel Mystery Oil and Wd-40 in the cylinders and cranking by hand. Once freed, I replaced the starter and slave solenoid and got her cranking on her own. Next I added fuel and spark to her. She sparked but was flooding like no other. Turned out the float in the carb was stuck and letting fuel way too much fuel in. After removing plugs and turning her over to spit out all the extra gas I flooded the carb with carb cleaner. That helped free the float (Thank God!) Once free she started immediately and purs like a kitten. Enjoy!
